    Dr. Dangi was born and raised in the himalayan nation, Nepal. After receiving a Master's degree in chemistry, he moved to Nevada, where he received Ph. D. degree in physical chemistry developing mass spectrometric instrumentation. After a short postdoctoral work at university of Kentucky, Dr. Dangi moved to Hawaii for another postdoctoral research where he worked on gas phase and gas-surface chemistry relevant to hydrocarbon combustion and astrochemical environments. Dr. Dangi joined Department of chemistry at Florida A&M University as an assistant professor in the Fall of 2016, and was promoted to associate professor with tenure in 2022.

    In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Dangi is equally interested in professional and community services. Some of the examples include serving in the executive committee of the Florida section of the American Chemical Society, review committee of the Florida state high school teacher licensing, university faculty senate of FAMU, NASA proposal review team, and science, technology, and innovation committee of the Non-Resident Nepali Association of the U.S.A.
